I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but I don’t know, I’m skeptical that the moon landing actually happened. It’s just such a huge technical feat, achieved in 1969, and then after some subsequent visits we haven’t been back in like 30 years, despite advances in technology which should have made it orders of magnitude cheaper and easier.
I guess you can argue that there isn’t scientific value in returning to the moon, hence why we haven’t done it. But I feel like there are some good reasons to go - for astronomy, studying solar radiation, etc etc. Why haven’t we been back?
